RUSSIA

Luttich Sharpshooters bayonet as used during the Crimean war Bayonet is Belgian made and based on the UK Brusnwick, an uncommon bayonet

Locking mechanism is similar to UK Brunswick

Heavy blade damage, could this be from cutting wire? It isn't that damage seen from "sword" fighting

1891/30 with press stud lock rather than the earlier locking ring

Winchester 1915, unfortunately the permanently attached frog is missing from this scabbard

Winchester Arms makers mark under the cross guard, one indicator of the Russian issue blade

The scabbard throat is attached with a rivet and not a screw as used on the French 1914, this blade has had a "blunt" false edge nearly 5" long, I have found no reference in any text to this modification

SVT 38 in poor condition, blade is in un-cleaned condition

Comparison of the SVT 38 and 40 bayonets

SVT 40 with edge down blade

Makers mark on SVT40

Makers Stamp (?) on scabbard

Scabbard on blade has four rivets holding leather frog and no ball finial on the end of the scabbard

SVT40 comes in edge down (common) and edge up (scarce) variations

Edge up SVT40 is missing press stud

Maker stamp on scabbard, scabbard has web frog and has a ball finial.

Makers stamps on SVT 40 Star is Tula arsenal stamp

WWII Ersatz socket bayonet uses the 91 Mosin Nagant socket with the SVT blade. reputedly these were made in Leningrad or Stalingrad during their respective sieges

Blade has a serial number and the Iveshk arsenal arrow mark, which may indicate that they were production items rather than cobbled together items

This blade has obviously been buried since it was lost in WWII and shows heavy pitting, the damage to the end of the socket includes loss of the locking ring

44 Carbine folding bayonet

Bayonet folds back alongside barrel

Fitting is actually the end of the rifle with he sight attached (Blade fits on right side of the rifle)

Late pattern AK47
